Eligibility Criteria for Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
To be eligible for the CSP (Certified Safety Professional) certification, you must meet all of the following:
Education
Hold at least a bachelor’s degree in any discipline. If your degree is from outside the U.S., it will be evaluated for equivalence.
Professional Safety Experience
A minimum of 4 years of hands-on safety work where at least 50% of your duties are preventative safety tasks. Your responsibilities must show both breadth and depth in safety leadership, risk management, hazard control etc.
Approved Credential
You must already hold a BCSP-approved credential before applying. Examples include:
